How do i edit x axis labels on charts in micrsoft excel and angle them?

to make it look like a half-way vertical line? i dont think you can. It might work or word though.

- right click on the x axis labels (be sure to select the axis labels and not the entire graph)
- select "Format Axis …"
- select "Alignment" from the side tabs
- then select "Custom angle" and type the desired angle of rotation
- you can also change the text direction and alignment if need be
