I have an aquarium, fully kitted out with filter pump and air filters etc. There are 3 sarasa comets and 2 koi carp aswell as a catfish.
Koi carp can sadly not survive in aquariums. The absolute minimum for them is a 1000 gallon pond for one koi and 100 gals more for each koi after that. So you will need 1100 gallons. Plus 3 sarasas that take up 20 gals each and you get…1160 gallons. I highly recommend you get yourself a 1500 gallon pond.
Also, what catfish do you have? Some catfish grow large, and others eat other fish.
Koi carp are unsuitable for aquariums and once they get big, they can die. A 1" koi can outgrow a 150 gallon aquarium in a year.
Best of luck with your tank.

How big a tank? koi can get up to three feet and comets get at least a foot. Comets are faster then fancy types, so the koi might not go after them. Its the room available to grow that would worry me.
