i am new to the carp fishing scene and want to try expander pellets.i got a bag of 6mm marine pellets.so whats the best way to use them?as hookbait or just as loose offerings?

You need a pump to go with it.
It injects water into them and takes the air out, this is what makes them expand.

They’re mainly used in pole fishing for carp due to the softness of them, you couldn’t cast them with a rod as they’d fly off the hook.

The Best Method For Expander Pellets this time of the Year is the *Cone Method*.http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid958992159?bctid=1498792700
What I do Is Soak Some of the Pellets & leave some Pellets Dry. Use the Expander Pellets the Hook Or Band. & Use the Catupult To Fire Out the Dry Pellets the Pellets that are dry will Make a Louder Noise then the 1′s that have been Soaked So it will Attract More Fish/Carp.

most likely both throw some in and keep it coming then throw the hook in make it far away from the food and slowly reel it in until its in the area and this drastically hires your catching the fish from 40-50 to 75-80

    (this will not always work)

but honestly i would use something differnet (like canned corn
