Baiting is not rocket science and while there are a lot of cute little plastic numbers available for sale, there are many ways to make your own baits at far less cost. Otherwise, you’ll just need to spend some time finding out what works locally for you.

Once you have a good sized feeding group of termites (usually about a cupful) then it is time to get a professional pest manager to apply a toxin.

Remember that old, forgotten or ignored baits can increase your isk of termite problems, so if you put them in, take them out when no longer needed.

Me and my husband are going fishing next week and we have some rods, hooks, bobbers, line, weights, ect. But I’m unsure what to get for bait. Me grandfather has passed-away so I can’t get recommendations from him. What brand would you recommend?

I have a three year old, three dogs and a disabled relative living in the house…and I have ants coming in. I need something to bait around inside the house that will not harm my daughter or pets…and is not an irrative for the skin and lungs..

ants cant digest sweet cornmeal so it swells their bellies up…also i heard if u put bounce fabric sheets around they dont like them

I’ve been jugging about 7 years now and I absolutely love it. I useally use cut brim, cut shad, or frozen catawba worms. Does anyone know another bait that works well.

Its that time of year again, and mice are already starting to look for shelter inside of my house. I bought some old-fashioned mouse traps, but I am unsure what the best bait is the catch them. I thought about using cheese, or peanut butter, but if anything else works better, just let me know. Thank you!

I’ve caught more mice with pbutter than anything else. The key is not putting too much otherwise they just lick it off without springing the trap. Just a little dab about the size of a flattened pea so that they are more prone to putting preasure on the release mechanism.

Glue pads are no good. I have had many mice get stuck on them only to chew themselves (the pad) off of it.

What are good techniques of attracting deer to a woods. I live in Ohio and have 2 different woods i would like to try to bait.

Here are 3 great attractants that fit in the feed category- corn. roasted soybeans, and rice bran- all should be available at any feed and seed store. The corn should be sold at any Walmart also. The feed can be just put in small piles on the ground and scatter a good bit to make it harder for the deer to eat it all in a short time. Start at least 2 weeks before the season to give the deer time to find it. Once they find it they will keep coming until another food source opens up.

I found one loose in my house and I put bait in the basement over night and the entire tray has been eaten by the next day. I hope they went outside to look for water and not died in the house.

it will take 3-5 days… mice are one of the few animals that can live their entire lives without a drink of water, so it is more that an animal when sick heads home to die…mice unfortunately have a very small home range, if you are seeing them in a house chances are they are nesting in the house. Mice are also nibblers, so am wondering if you just happen to have either a mess of mice to deal with or maybe rats instead, which on the bright side usually will be nesting outside, so more likely to die outside.
