I’m worried about the damage that insecticide’s can make on my 1 year old daughter and I would like to kill flies with come kind of trap using maybe a bait of sugar. Any ideas?
I know this paper strips I have been using them, however Walmart has removed this products from the store for some reason in my country.

they still make fly paper i believe. if you are trapping fruit flies put sugar and beer in a jar with one hole poked in the top. they get in but cant get out.

At the moment I know I need a resident commercial fishing license to legally sell bait.

I’ve been trying to contact baitstores about selling them shiners and frozen chum but am having no luck.

I’m not good when it comes to talking to people. But I do know how to say "Hi, do you want to buy bait from me?" lol.

Any hints tips, suggestions or links would be most appreciated. Thanks

Ok we will say you are legal and want to sell bait and chum to local shops.
You do understand that you will need to be able to keep up with the supply needed for the shops and this is a problem sometimes with shops buying from a local person and not a distibuter.
I will give you a base to go by and see if you could keep a full supply of live shiners for me! I would need just for the one shop every week 8 to 14 pounds of live shiners now if you could keep this up for at least several shops you may want to stick with one bait shop only.
Go to a shop and give a entry level price so they can get a feel for the quality of bait and service you can give.
For the chum it should be packaged for resale so the shops will have a quality product to offer the public.
On average live shiners may sell for around $6 to $8 per pound.
You will need tanks to give the minnows a good place for transport with a full supply of o2 to keep the bait lively.

Suppose I’m using ant bait trays in my cat’s room, and some of the ants get into the cat’s food, after eating from one of the bait trays. If the cat ingests an ant, will it make him sick?

There are some on the market that say they are bio friendly, but the best bet is to check with your Vet.

My apartment is seriously infested by German cockroach. I searched online and found many people recommend borax bait. So I made many borax baits(mixed with flour and sugar), placed around kitchen. Also, I sprinkled borax on many places. Now 3 days passed, it looks like I still can see many cockroaches. So I am wondering how long does it take effect?

two possible reasons… borax is a slow acting stomach poison, more time may be needed. The other is borates are a repelling compound…if you made your bait stronger than 5% (20:1 ratio) they may be being pushed away from your bait, maybe now infesting parts of the home they weren’t before. As mentioned the commercial baits on the market are what you will want to use. Combat gel bait is made by the same people that make my professional use baits, the only difference being the attractant in the bait, but roaches will eat about anything and they do eat it rather readily.

http://beyond-the-political-spectrum.blogspot.com/ If there was ever proof that the federal government and the banking industry are working to protect the interest of each other, here it is. First the 2005 pro-banking bankruptcy “overhaul”, not this. Granted, there was some well-meaning intent behind this bailout of the banking system, there was also obviously some scheming behind the scenes which allowed for some fine-printing & insertion of “loopholes.”

I am going to be fishing for fun, and really don’t care what I catch. I just want to cast out a line pretty far and leave it, and see if I can get anything (this may not be the best strategy, but I do not have the patience to keep casting, etc). What would be the best bait to use? What fish could I likely catch this way? Any tips for my suggested method would be appeciated?

You can use frozen peas to catch all the vegetarian fish. I have fed them (unshelled) peas while snorkeling and seen some that were over twenty pounds. You might try putting three on one baitholder hook, another thing to use for the vegetarians is moss wrapped around the hook. You can find it (the moss) all around rocks nearest to and in the water around shorelines of creeks, bays and lakes. The locals pull tiny shrimp out of the seaweed piles that amass all along the shorelines and use a large clear (water fillable) bobber one quarter full of water to cast it out and it sinks to the depth where the air left in it stops it’s descent. of course chunks of shrimp and pieces of frozen anchovies or mussels will work almost as well.

We’re going fishing tomorrow with our children and we are both amateurs. I was wondering what the best type of bait would be to get the best catch. Not necessarily looking for anything big. Just hoping to catch something. It’s for the "churn"! Lol! Thanks!

Although there ARE certain times of the year where a particular bait will perform better than another, the general bait that most people use, which will catch a variety of fish is fresh dead Shrimp, cut Squid and cut Mullet.

However, dead bait generally catches "trash fish" 75% of the time.

Trash fish- Hard Headed Catfish, Toad fish & Puffer’s.

Hard Head Cats tend to be what you catch on most Florida piers, (esp when you fish a bottom rig with dead bait).

You must be careful when removing Saltwater Cats from your hook. Their pectoral and dorsal fins have sharp, bacteria-clad spines and can easily stab you.

Here is a good website with info on Surf & Pier fishing Florida.
Although it is an Amelia Island, Florida website you can use 95% of it’s info.

Hope this helps ya?
