what happened to the buildings in fisherman’s wharf in san francisco in the 1989 earthquake and why did this happen?
There was minor damage, but not like what happened in the Marina.
Most new commercial structures on the Wharf are built on concrete piers which extend deep into the Bay Mud and often hit bedrock. The Marina homes were on landfill as well, but not anchored well and suffered from the liquefaction.

You know those brown leather classic style ones. Do you like to see them on guys as opposed to the flip flop style. Had not seen them in a while and saw two guys today wearing them with socks.
yuck!!! i hate to see flip flops or sandals on guys…there`s nothing remotely attractive about it!!!
