Thanks in advance!

I just got back from fishing at one of my local lakes in Ontario Calif. (Cucamonga Guasti Park) I had a skunk all day, but the guy and his kids on the other side of the lake pulled 5 Trout. Look like 1 to 2 ponders. Anybody have an idea what works for Trout at that lake?

The Rainbow Power Bait or Yellow with glitter works best for me. Use an ultra light spinning outfit with 4 pound test. Slide a 1/4 oz egg sinker onto your mainline with a snap swivel on the end of the line. Attach a 1.5 foot piece of 2 pound test leader with a #18 treble hook on the end. Make sure your drag is not too tight or the leader will break! This will work…..guaranteed!

The feisty taimen fish of Mongolia packs a mean bite — but is more endangered than dangerous.

We fish in stocked trout streams. My kids hate using worms because their messy and they feel sorry for the worm. We have tried Powerbait and Yum but had no luck (even though some people swear by it). We never even got a bite. Any suggestions?

Plenty of excellent answer’s already!
Here’s another "route".

This may sound crazy, but "Stocked" Trout tend to favor "brownish balls about the size of a dime".

They are fed these when they are fingerlings at the hatchery’s.

A brownish "ball-fly" soaked in trout attractant (or the new Berkley "Gulp" Earthworm flavored attractant), would be another presentation to try.

I have found that stocked Trout are almost ALWAYS harder to fool than "wild" ones.
To be honest, I don’t know why!?!! Seems like it would be the other way around! (lol)

Well, you got some great answer’s! Just wanted to throw in my 2 cent’s. Hope it helps somewhat. Good luck!

I have a vacation home upstate ny, and in the back there is a river where there is brown trout. I would like to know what the best bait is to use for brown trout or what is the best lure to use?

Try worms or powerbait.

You can also try spinners like panther martin or rooster tails.

As G G said, there is no best bait, it is all a matter of preference.

I’m fishing out of Lockwood Folly in North Carolina for speckled trout. I’m using yellow jigs on orange jig heads right now and I’m getting some action. I thought I should know what I can also stock my tackle with on days that my jig setup is a little slow.

Try the same size jig head and body, but in different colors. Some days they hit the bright colors, but some days they prefer more natural colors. Try white with a black head, and some translucent colors with black heads.

Also any type of silver spoon the same size as your jig will work. You might want to keep the same type of lures in different sizes. Baitfish vary in size over the season and the fish tend to target what there’s plenty of.
