What is the Universal Declaration of human rights and how has it evolved into other treaties, charters?
need helm mainly with how was it evolved into other treaties, charters?
thanks
It’s a statement of principles about human rights. Its adoption led to other treaties such as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Convention Against Torture, and the Convention on The Rights of the Child.
The more general language of the Universal Declaration has led to the more specific rights and obligations in the treaties that followed.
