There will be people to answer this who have better insights than I do, but here’s all I can say… especially when it comes to fishing, it takes money to make money… start out fishing little local tourneys, show people that you can catch… find sponsors (you’ll need ‘em, and to get them, you’ll have to show that you can catch fish)… just because a company doesn’t seem to be in the fishing business doesn’t mean that they won’t sponsor you… your boat is a floating billboard… enter anything you can get into, the more visible you are and the more you catch, the more likely you’ll get sponsors who can help you get into the big tourneys…

Oh, and don’t forget, you’ll need a "real" job too, because if you don’t place, you don’t get money, you lose money…

i would search flw.com and search youth fishing events and then search youth bass fishing clubs for your area and you will find plenty of clubs. i hope that you have good luck. you don’t need a boat. since you are still young the tournaments are done from shore. you will not earn alot of money in youth tournaments but this will help you learn a lot more fishing skills and help you get a foot into a good club once you get older and then you can start your career to becoming a pro angler
