Will pay for taxi, get train or whatever but will have lots of luggage. Help please.

Hi,
If you have a place to stay with an address make reservations with the Super Shuttle. This will save you at least $50.00 in cab fare. I really don’t care for the cab service in SF. Good Luck

Taxi,… just the fact that you have luggages… better yet just rent a car at the airport for a day , it’ll probably cost you about $60 for an economy car w/c is less hassle and less money than taking a taxi.

I agree with Silentgoodbye that renting a car is probably the easiest way to go, but you should be aware of a few things:

    – Make sure all of your luggage is stashed away, out of sight, in the trunk (or boot).
    – Parking can be difficult at Fisherman’s Wharf, so be prepared for that. If you’re staying at a hotel in the City, maybe park your rental car there, and taxi to the Wharf.
    – San Francisco is a city of microclimates, and the Wharf can be quite cold and foggy. Be prepared to layer your clothing, especially if your going to go in and out of shops.

Have a great time in San Francisco! It’s a great city!

If you have a lot of luggage, using the BART subway is out of the question. At any given station, you only have 8-10 seconds before the doors close. There are also only a few elevators and a lot of stairs / escalators.

A shuttle bus service might work better (depending on their luggage allowance):

Otherwise, go find a taxi van. They might cost a little more than the standard taxis, but you’ll have all the space you need.

Take a taxi so you don’t have to make all those stops at the other hotels to drop passengers off. If you have more then two passengers, the shuttle may also end up costing more.
