Is it possible to catch panfish with lures?

I go fishing for bluegills and crappie from shore.Nightcrawlers are an excellent bait for them, but I was wondering if lures would work.If so,what kind?
yeah they love them. i go wade fishing all the time and take small rooster tails and plastic worms. i usually like to use red plastic worms and black or red rooster tails. i take the plastic worms and cut them in half and use the end with the tail that spins to fish with. the rooster tails is the best tho or take live minnows and thats what i use for crappie.

Grubs, tubes, & spinners are the three main Bluegill/Crappie lures. I have had ridiculously good luck with a 1" grub & jig head on Bluegill, Green Sunfish, & Largemouth Bass.

Oh yea I like to use Johnson Beetle Spins and Blakemore Roadrunners to catch panfish. Roadrunners will catch anything in the lake I have caught a 3lb bass with them before. One of my favorite lures this past summer was a Inka grub by Yamamoto baits. Its a small skirted spider grub in clear with a red/blue flake. I just put it on a 1/8oz jig head. caught bass, crappie and bluegill with it.

1 inch grubs are absolutely deadly on panfish.
Last night I caught 50 crappies, 1 fat pumpkin seed, 2 bluegills, and 1- 3 lb LM Bass (I was not expecting that one). All in a couple of hours, my hit rate was over 90%, it was ridiculous, they already hit my grub before my bail even clicked shut.
I use no sinkers, just line, hook, grub and I swim it, let that curly tail work. I just came back from fishing again, used the same method, nailed 40 crappies, 2 sunfish. from 7pm to 9:30pm. Swim and jerk worked a little better. Color of grubs doesn’t seem to matter. Yesterday was Orange, today was Pink, I have decent lighting at my lake.
Good luck.
My fingers reek of fish…isn’t life grand!

A beetle spin works great for crappie and gills as well as a smaller rooster tail spinner.
