Tackles traditionally have more ground to cover in blocking.
So there's a stereotype that they have to be taller.
I happen to disagree - with the new Defensive looks, taller tackles becomes laughable.

"Lean down" is the nice coaches way of saying you're a little chubby.
He wants you to drop water weight and develop more muscle tone.
You can do that...
References :
a coach

OT vs OG is OG are bigger to plug up the middle OT needs to big but needs to have more agility to cover the outside. Leaning down a bit means lose a bit of weight so you can get a lil quicker in your movements.
References :
On average, the OTs are taller and lighter than OGs. It's because OTs need strength, but they need agility/speed to handle the faster DEs on the edge. OGs are stronger but less agile, because they grapple with bigger, stronger DTs in a confined area.

I believe your coach wants you to lower your center of gravity, or base, with your weight more on the balls of your feet. If you're too high (or tall) you can be pushed back by a defender that gets under your pads. If you're the one in that dominate position, you have all the leverage. He probably wants you to have more weight on the balls of your feet, as well- if you're flat-footed, you don't have the ability to go in any direction, and it's easy for a defender to beat you off the snap.
References :
former LT
