I am looking for a good place to take my father tarpon fishing for his 70th birthday. He has been talking about going for a long time now. Any suggestion. I am looking for a nice place but not too outrageously priced but I want him taken care of so he can enjoy it and catch alot of fish… Help

Costa Rica has some of the best (if not the best) tarpon fishing in the world and it is on the Caribbean side. No doubt the best tarpon captain is Captain Eddie Brown (Bull Shark) out of Tortuguero and Barra del Colorado, who is universally known all over the world as the "Tarbon King," He has been fishing and guiding the area for 30 years.

Besides tarpon, you can also fish for snook (great fish to fish for) calba, tuna, tripletail, tripletail, Kingfish, Jack Crevalle and barracuda

Some of the best places for Tarpon fishing is in Tortuguero, Barra de Colorado and Barra de Parismina which are all nearby and on the carribean side.
On the pacific side you can go to Quepos, or Jacó.
They are not cheap but very popular, some of the other beach towns are cheaper but less popular.
